בְּנוֹת שׁוּחַ, שְׁבִיעִית שֶׁלָּהֶן, שְׁנִיָּה, שֶׁהֵן עוֹשׂוֹת לְשָׁלֹשׁ שָׁנִים.
רַבִּי יְהוּדָה אוֹמֵר, הַפַּרְסָאוֹת, שְׁבִיעִית שֶׁלָּהֶן, מוֹצָאֵי שְׁבִיעִית, שֶׁהֵן עוֹשׂוֹת לִשְׁתֵּי שָׁנִים.
אָמְרוּ לוֹ, לֹא אָמְרוּ אֶלָּא בְנוֹת שׁוּחַ:
Pine cones - their Sheviis-produce status falls in the second year, because they take three years to produce.
Rabbi Yehuda says: Persian figs - their Sheviis-produce status falls in the year after Sheviis, because they take two years to produce.
