Rabbi Akiva's rule

Tanna KammaIn produce already cut ( talush ) — thresh, winnow, tread, bind sheaves; in what still grows ( mechubar ) — no reaping, no grape-picking, no olive-picking→ only what is already cut
Rabbi AkivaIf there is any permitted way to do it in Eretz Yisrael — in Syria it may be done freely→ anything with a permitted way in the Land, freely
Some: the Tanna Kamma, said as a rule
Some: stricter — Syria is like the Land
Some: more lenient — the shiur's reading
