The last Mishnah of Taanis — a happy close

No days as joyous as the 15th of Av and Yom Kippur

The last families brought their wood for the Mizbeach
The tribes could marry one another again
The dying in the Midbar ended — seen by the full moon
Yom Kippur: the day of forgiveness

Permissivewould go out in borrowed white garments,
Reasonso as not to shame one who had none of her own.
General ruleAll the garments required tevilah.

Taanis 4:8

The Fifteenth of Av and Yom Kippur
