One who returns a debt in Sheviis - [the lender] should say to him: 'I release [it].'
[If] he said to him: 'Even so,' he may accept [it] from him, as it is stated (Devarim 15): "And this is the matter of the release."
Similarly: a killer who was exiled to a city of refuge, and the people of the city wished to honor him - he should say to them, 'I am a killer.'
[If] they said to him: 'Even so,' he may accept from them, as it is stated (ibid. 19): "And this is the matter of the killer."
A reading aid, not an exact translation.

This English is a clause-by-clause rendering to help you follow the Hebrew. It is not word-for-word literal, and it is not a transcript of the recorded shiur — the audio carries explanation and context the translation deliberately leaves out.
