One may eat on the strength of ownerless [produce], but not on the strength of guarded [produce].
Rabbi Yose permits [it] even on the strength of guarded [produce].
One may eat on the strength of [poor-quality] tefichin-figs and the twice-bearing [fig], but not on the strength of the winter [grapes].
Rabbi Yehuda permits [it] as long as they began to ripen before the summer [fruit] ended:
A reading aid, not an exact translation.

This English is a clause-by-clause rendering to help you follow the Hebrew. It is not word-for-word literal, and it is not a transcript of the recorded shiur — the audio carries explanation and context the translation deliberately leaves out.

CaseRulingReason
May one keep eating stored produce on the strength of produce still growing in a guarded field (shamur — where the animals cannot reach it)?Tanna Kamma: No — only on the mufkar (ownerless, open to man and beast)
Rabbi Yossi: Yes — even on the shamur
And what of the late bearers — grain in tefichin (bird feeders), dufra (twice-bearing figs), sisvaniyos (autumn grapes)?Tanna Kamma: On the first two — yes; on the sisvaniyos — no
Rabbi Yehuda: Mutar on the sisvaniyos too, so long as they began ripening before the Sheviis summer ended
Transcript
A machine transcript of the recorded shiur.

This is the shiur as spoken, transcribed automatically and left unedited — the wording is Ephraim's, and occasional transcription errors remain. It follows the audio word by word.
