הַמְלַקֵּט עֲשָׂבִים לַחִים, עַד שֶׁיִּיבַשׁ הַמָּתוֹק.
וְהַמְגַבֵּב בַּיָּבֵשׁ, עַד שֶׁתֵּרֵד רְבִיעָה שְׁנִיָּה.
עֲלֵי קָנִים וַעֲלֵי גְפָנִים, עַד שֶׁיִּשְּׁרוּ מֵאֲבִיהֶן.
וְהַמְגַבֵּב בַּיָּבֵשׁ, עַד שֶׁתֵּרֵד רְבִיעָה שְׁנִיָּה.
רַבִּי עֲקִיבָא אוֹמֵר, בְּכֻלָּן עַד שֶׁתֵּרֵד רְבִיעָה שְׁנִיָּה:
One who gathers moist grasses [may do so] until the sweet [grass] dries up.
And one who gathers dry [grasses may do so] until the second rainfall descends.
Reed leaves and vine leaves [may be gathered] until they fall from their stem.
And one who gathers dry [ones may do so] until the second rainfall descends.
Rabbi Akiva says: in all of them, until the second rainfall descends:
